In the midst of a devastating refugee crisis in Europe, Greece is faced with the tragic reality of unaccompanied child refugees. Those are minors who are traveling alone, having lost their parents during the journey, or have left home alone in order to flee a war or in search of a better future. 

"Hotels Giving for Kids" is a campaign powered by Hotels in Greece. The campaign aims to support critical services via the Bodossaki Foundation's thematic program for unaccompanied minors. The fund supports NGOs working in the field and specific services directly provided to the kids in need, such as shelter, food, medical care, clothing and specialized staff including translators, psychologists and social workers. It also aims to fund the critical services of identification, guardianship and – where possible – family reunification. 

If you would like to join us in supporting unaccompanied minor kids in Greece, here are a few figures:

•    With 80 euros, basic expenses for a kid can be covered for a month (food, clothes, sheet) 

•    With 100 euros, medical and pharmaceutical expenses for a kid can be covered for one month 

•    With 650 euros, the rental cost of a transit accommodation unit is covered for one month (to accommodate 10 kids)

•    With 1,500 euros, specialised advisors can offer phycological support to 30 kids for one month 

•    With 3,000 euros, breakfast can be offered to 50 kids for 30 days (includes milk and toast) 

•    With 7,500 euros, dinner can be offered to 50 kids for 30 days 

Be part of this campaign now and support unaccompanied kids by offering them a safe home and all services that are critical to their well-being. Even the smallest donation can make a difference for these kids. 

All funds raised will be collected directly by the Bodossaki Foundation, one of the most respected charitable foundations in Greece. Funds will be distributed to Greek NGOs taking part in the program: ARSIS, Praksis, METAction, Doctors of the World - Greek delegation, and Medical Intervention.

Αντιμέτωποι με τις δραματικές διαστάσεις που έχει λάβει η προσφυγική κρίση στη χώρα μας, οι ξενοδόχοι της Ελλάδας στρέφουν την προσοχή τους στα ασυνόδευτα ανήλικα παιδιά που βρίσκονται στην Ελλάδα μόνα τους και υλοποιούν τη δράση «Hotels Giving for Kids». Πρόκειται για μια καμπάνια αλληλεγγύης και ανθρωπιάς πανελλαδικής εμβέλειας, με στόχο να συγκεντρωθούν χρήματα για τα ασυνόδευτα παιδιά, μέσω του θεματικού προγράμματος του Ιδρύματος Μποδοσάκη και σε συνεργασία με τις Μη Κυβερνητικές Οργανώσεις ΑΡΣΙΣ, Praksis, Γιατροί του Κόσμου, Ιατρική Παρέμβαση και ΜΕΤΑδραση. 

Οι δράσεις που υποστηρίζονται είναι: σίτιση, στέγαση, ιατροφαρμακευτική περίθαλψη, υπηρεσίες ψυχοκοινωνικής στήριξης, συνοδείας και επιτροπείας, ώστε τα ασυνόδευτα ανήλικα παιδιά να τοποθετηθούν σε ένα ασφαλές πλαίσιο προστασίας, σε ένα περιβάλλον κατάλληλο για την ηλικία τους, δίπλα σε ανθρώπους που μπορούν να τα βοηθήσουν να ξεπεράσουν τα τραύματα που έχουν υποστεί και να ζήσουν ξανά, σαν παιδιά. 

Ενδεικτικά:

•    Με 80 ευρώ, καλύπτονται τα βασικά έξοδα ενός παιδιού (όπως ρουχισμός, τρόφιμα, σεντόνια), για ένα μήνα

•    Με 100 ευρώ, καλύπτονται οι βασικές ιατροφαρμακευτικές ανάγκες ή εξετάσεις που χρειάζονται τα παιδιά

•    Με 650 ευρώ, καλύπτεται το ενοίκιο μιας μεταβατικής δομής φιλοξενίας , χωρητικότητας 10 παιδιών, για ένα μήνα

•    Με 1500 ευρώ, εξειδικευμένοι σύμβουλοι παρέχουν ψυχοκοινωνική υποστήριξη σε 30 παιδιά για ένα μήνα

•    Με 3000 ευρώ, καλύπτεται το κόστος του πρωινού γεύματος (τοστ και γάλα) για 50 παιδιά για ένα μήνα

•    Με 7500 ευρώ, καλύπτεται το κόστος του βραδινού γεύματος για 50 παιδιά για ένα μήνα
