Ενισχύστε το εθελοντικό μας ταξίδι στην Ουγκάντα - Αύγουστος 2024

Οι Wheeling 2 help σε συνεργασία με τους Backpack Brothers συμβάλλουν στην προσπαθεία του τοπικού οργανισμού Edirisa για την εκπαίδευση των παιδιών και την ενδυνάμωση των γυναικών. 

Οι βασικοί άξονες δράσης αφορούν:

• Εκπαίδευση – Κατασκευή και διακόσμηση σχολικού κτιρίου, δημιουργική απασχόληση παιδιών, μαθήματα κολύμβησης.

• Ενδυνάμωση – Δραστηριότητες καλαθοπλεκτικής, ραπτικής κ.ά. για την ενίσχυση του εισοδήματος και της βελτίωσης του τρόπου ζωής των γυναικών.

• Αλληλεπίδραση – Γνωριμία με τους ανθρώπους που ζουν στη λίμνη και ενσωμάτωση στον τρόπο ζωής τους (μουσική, παραδοσιακή κουζίνα, χορός).

Λίγα λόγια για εμάς. 

Είμαστε η Βίβιαν και η Νατάσα. Η δυνατότητα να βοηθάμε τους άλλους μέσω του εθελοντισμού είναι κάτι που μας συγκινεί και μας γεμίζει. 

Νατάσα: Με την εθελοντική μου συμμετοχή σε διάφορους οργανισμούς (ο άλλος άνθρωπος, TedxAthens, πυρκαγιές 2021 κ.ά.), έχω καταλήξει πως είναι πολύ σημαντικό να προσφέρουμε στον συνάνθρωπό, στο περιβάλλον και την κοινωνία μας για μια καλύτερη ζωή.

Βίβιαν: Η επαφή μου με τα παιδιά με έχει διδάξει πολλά. Στην εκπαίδευση η προσφορά είναι πάνω από το καθήκον. Δεν είναι το πρώτο μου ταξίδι στην Αφρική καθώς έχω δουλέψει ως δασκάλα στο σχολείο της Ελληνικής Κοινότητας στη Λ.Δ. Κονγκό. 

Ο λόγος της δημιουργίας αυτού του Give & Fund είναι:

• Η χρηματική κάλυψη του προγράμματος Edirisa 
• Visa
• Μέρος του κόστους των αεροπορικών εισιτηρίων

Support our volunteer trip in Uganda - August 2024

Wheeling 2 help and Backpack Brothers work together to help local organization Edirisa for children’s education and women empowerment. 

The 3 main axes of this project concern:

• Education – Construction and decoration of school building, creative activities for children, swimming lessons. 

• Empowerment – activities of basket weaving, sewing, etc. to enhance women's income and lifestyle

• Interaction – getting to know the people who live on the lake and integrating into their way of life (music, traditional cuisine, dance).

A few words about us

We are Vivian & Natasa. The possibility/ability to help others through volunteering it’s something that touches and fills us.

Natasa: Through my participation as a volunteer in several organizations (allos anthropos, TedxAthens, fires in Athens 2021 etc), I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s really important to offer to humans, the environment and the community for a better life.

Vivian: Working with children has taught me a lot. In education, giving is more important than duty. It is not my first trip to Africa as I was a teacher at the school of the Greek Community in the D.R.Congo.

Main purpose of this Give & Fund is:

· Expenses coverage of the Edirisa project

· Visa

· Part of airplane tickets
