illustradays in a nutshell:

illustradays brings to Athens a piece of creativity from each corner of the world. At the same time, it brings to the world the 1st illustration festival in Greece. And that means only one thing: welcome to a colorful and inclusive celebration 🥳 

Get ready to meet colorful creatures captured in artworks and books, emerging artists grabbing their pens, inspiring experts sharing their secrets with the community and parents who can’t wait to sneak into the next activity along with their restless kids.

Le immagini della fantasia, a renowned, 38-year-old, international illustration exhibition, leaves this September the cute, little village of Sarmede in Italy and arrives in Greece, leading to many jaw-dropping moments when people first discover what a kid’s book can hide 📚 And as if this exhibition isn’t magical enough, illustradays sets the stage for more creative voices to be heard and more colors to be mixed. Illustrators based in Greece get the chance to use their sketchbooks (or tablets), prepare new pieces and share the stage with artworks from all over the world through our open call. In the meantime, our workshops are fostering the next generation of junior illustrators while all festival’s friends explore how illustration will finally conquer the creative world (✌) through talks, fun activities, networking and interactive corners.

What makes illustradays special?

illustradays isn’t just a festival that brings awareness on the different applications of illustration. It creates the context for networking, creative exchange and interactivity, by building a bridge between professionals and artists. It substantially supports the field, especially after the hard pandemic period, by providing fees to all the participating artists and by encouraging the audience to get to know and buy their artworks 💪 

It proudly represents all sexes within its activities. It forsters a community open to multicultural audiences of all ages, accessible and inclusive, as it continuously finds ways to invite various social groups in its initiatives. It promotes cross-border partnerships bringing onboard works and ideas from every corner of the globe.

Where does your support go?

We really get how important it is to provide transparency when it comes to the allocation of your support. Your help will allow us to boost the most vibrant part of the festival: the artistic community. Meaning professionals and emerging talents, who will be part of illustradays in different ways 🎨

Μα τι είναι το illustradays;

Το illustradays φέρνει στην Αθήνα ένα κομμάτι δημιουργικότητας από κάθε γωνιά του κόσμου. Και ταυτόχρονα φέρνει στην Ελλάδα το 1o της φεστιβάλ αφιερωμένο αποκλειστικά στην εικονογράφηση. Φεστιβάλ; Αυτό μπορεί να σημαίνει μόνο ένα πράγμα: μια χρωματιστή και χαρούμενη γιορτή 🥳

Για πλάσματα βγαλμένα από βιβλία και έργα τέχνης, καλλιτέχνες που ακονίζουν τα μολύβια τους, experts που μοιράζονται τα μυστικά τους με νέα ταλέντα, και γονείς που ανυπομονούν να συμμετέχουν στην επόμενη δραστηριότητα μαζί με τα ανήσυχα παιδιά τους. 

Η Immagini della fantasia, μια διεθνής έκθεση εικονογράφησης που μετρά 38 ολόκληρα χρόνια, αφήνει το Σεπτέμβρη το μικροσκοπικό χωριό του Sarmede της Ιταλίας για να φτάσει στην Ελλάδα και να μοιραστεί τα θαύματα που κρύβουν τα παιδικά βιβλία 📚 Αλλά το illustradays δε σταματά εκεί. Δίνει την ευκαιρία σε ακόμα περισσότερες δημιουργικές φωνές να ακουστούν και σε ακόμα περισσότερα χρώματα να ανακατευτούν. Η καλλιτεχνική κοινότητα στην Ελλάδα ονειρεύεται την επόμενη μέρα και μοιράζεται τη σκηνή με έργα από ολόκληρο τον κόσμο. Mε illustrations που φτιάχνονται ειδικά για το open call μας! Ταυτόχρονα, εργαστήριά ετοιμάζουν την επόμενη, junior γενιά εικονογράφων όσο το κοινό παρακολουθεί μέσα από ομιλίες, networking, δραστηριότητες και διαδραστικές γωνιές την εικονογράφηση να κατακτά τελικά όόόλο τον καλλιτεχνικό κόσμο 🌏

Τι κάνει το illustradays ξεχωριστό;

Το illustradays δεν κάνει απλώς γνωστές στο κοινό όλες τις διαφορετικές εφαρμογές της εικονογράφησης. Δημιουργεί το περιβάλλον για networking, δημιουργική ανταλλαγή και διάδραση φέρνοντας κοντά επαγγελματίες και καλλιτέχνες. Ενισχύει έμπρακτα το πεδίο, ειδικά μετά από τη δύσκολη περίοδο της πανδημίας, προβλέποντας χρηματικές αμοιβές για κάθε καλλιτέχνη που συμμετέχει και δίνοντας την ευκαιρία στο κοινό να γνωρίσει και να αγοράσει τα έργα τους 💪 

Θεωρεί δεδομένη την ισότιμη εκπροσώπηση των φύλων σε όλες τις δράσεις του. Φτιάχνει μια κοινότητα ανοιχτή σε πολυπολιτισμικά κοινά, όλων των ηλικιών, προσβάσιμη και συμπεριληπτική, ανοίγοντας τη συμμετοχή και τη δημιουργία σε διάφορες κοινωνικές ομάδες. Υποστηρίζει cross-border συνεργασίες φέρνοντας έργα και ιδέες από διαφορετικά μέρη της γης.

Πώς θα χρησιμοποιηθεί η υποστήριξή σου;
